Luxury furniture: why material quality makes all the difference

Arredo di lusso: perché la qualità dei materiali fa la differenza

In today’s furniture landscape, we are surrounded by an overwhelming number of products from countless brands. Amid this abundance, one crucial element is often overlooked: the true quality of raw materials.

At Bazzi Group, we continue to believe in a different approach, deliberately choosing noble and long-lasting materials. We do this to offer our clients luxury furnishings that stand the test of time, challenging the fast-consumption mindset and reducing the environmental impact of low-quality production.

Quality starts with raw materials

As defined by Treccani, a raw material is “a material obtained from the exploitation of natural resources, intended for further processing to produce goods.” This means that the quality of a finished product originates from the quality of the materials used.
The higher the quality of the raw material, the stronger the foundation of the final piece.

Bazzi Interiors’ fine materials

Fine woods

We use only certified, sustainably sourced woods. For every tree cut down, new ones are planted, ensuring a balanced ecosystem.

In addition to solid oak and linden—ideal for hand-carved structures—we incorporate exotic woods such as rosewood, teak, mahogany, and burl woods, which are perfect for creating refined inlays.
Special attention is given to Amboyna burl, with its unique and vibrant texture, highly valued in the luxury world, historically used in Rolls Royce dashboards.
At Bazzi, we use it to embellish tables, sideboards, and desks, seamlessly blending it with other natural woods to create true works of art.

Genuine mother-of-pearl

In an age where plastic often replaces natural materials, Bazzi Group remains committed to using authentic mother-of-pearl from Australia and New Zealand.

This extraordinary material—produced naturally by mollusks—is used for long-lasting, iridescent inlays on tables, sideboards, display cabinets, and other customizable pieces.

Madreperla

Precious metals

Gold, bronze, silver, copper, and zinc are integral to our creations. These metals enhance our furniture, adapting beautifully to styles ranging from baroque to contemporary.

We use:
Bronze and copper in both liquid and solid forms for surface decorations, table ends, and chair or cabinet structures.
24-carat gold leaf finishes, meticulously applied by expert gilders.
Solid silver, perfect for more robust coverings with unmatched aesthetic appeal.

These elements bring light, prestige, and refined authenticity to every piece.

High-End fabrics

Fabrics are the attire of furniture, which is why we carefully select brocades, velvets, and damasks of the highest quality.
Despite advancements in fiber technology, we still prefer natural silk and noble yarns, occasionally blended with artificial or synthetic fibers to enhance strength, durability, and comfort.

Precious and semi-precious stones

To give each piece a unique touch, we incorporate gemstones such as lapis lazuli, onyx, and amethyst.

These materials, treasured since ancient times, feature in:
marble surfaces with inlaid stone techniques
bar cabinets adorned with mother-of-pearl and natural stones
● furnishings that resemble true jewelry pieces.

Harmony between materials and design

Each material can be used on its own or combined with others. The key is to achieve the perfect balance between aesthetics, function, and longevity.

Our designers and artisans work hand in hand to transform every project into a timeless masterpiece, an expression of Italian luxury that elevates any space.

Maintenance and longevity

Finally, we remind all lovers of high-end furnishings that maintenance is essential.
Every Bazzi Group piece comes with specific care instructions to preserve its beauty and functionality over time. With proper attention, these furnishings become heirlooms of style, meant to be passed down from one generation to the next.
